Whether
you're looking for a great summer tank or wanting to get a head-start
on your cool weather wardrobe, Hadley has got you covered. The Hadley is
drapey, fluid, and sophisticated. It can be both semi-formal and
casual, depending on how you like to style it. View A has a jewel neck, a
pleat at the back neckline, and bracelet lengths sleeves. View B is
sleeveless and features a soft v-neck. Both have center seams in the
frontand back, as well as a wide hem.
Techniques involved include sewing straight and curved seams, setting sleeves, darts, pleating, and applying facings.
Supplies needed:
- woven fabric with good drape (cottons, cotton-linen blends, linen, double gauze, voile, lawn, rayon, and silk, for example)
- fusible interfacing
- hook and eye (if making the pleated back)
- thread
- basic sewing kit
