School of Sewing has been a huge hit! So we have decided to
take it one step further---making clothes! In this class follow-up,
students will get the opportunity to make a shirt and a skirt from the
fabulous book Love at First Stitch by Tilly Walnes. While making your
own clothes, you will learn how to use and read patterns, choose the
correct pattern size, select and cut out fabric. You will also get the
opportunity to learn construction techniques, such as making
button-holes, installing invisible zippers, making collars and facings,
and much more. This is the perfect class for anyone who has completed
School of Sewing, or any sewer that wants to learn how to make their own
clothes.
Supplies needed:
Love at First Stitch book, fabric and notions for projects, tracing paper, basic sewing kit
(four session class)
