Don't Start Over!

Drop a stitch? Dropped several stitches? Stitch(es) twisted on the needle? Stitch(es) twisted in the fabric? Knitted instead of purled? Cable turning the wrong direction? If answering "yes" to any of these questions causes you to panic and begin ripping out, this is the class for you! We'll learn the anatomy of a stitch, how to "read" your knitting, how to spot a mistake and what to do to fix it, how to unknit, how to pick up a dropped stitch, how to change a knit to a purl and vice versa.

Supplies needed:
  • A test swatch (stockinette stitch bordered by garter stitch is good) six inches wide (and a few inches deep), knit with a light colored worsted weight yarn, and the needles you used on it.
  • Your usual bag of knitting tools (a crochet hook will be handy).
  • A project in desperate need of triage.
