Have you wanted to learn to knit socks? Do you suffer from
second sock syndrome or do your socks turn out 2 different sizes?
Two-at-a-time, top-down socks are a great way to learn sock knitting and
are a fix for common sock issues. This is also a great project to
learn the magic loop method for knitting in the round.
During the class, you will knit either a pair of baby socks
or Christmas stocking ornaments, your choice, so that you can work
through all of the steps of knitting socks within 2 class sessions.
Supplies needed:
· 1 center-pull or 2 smaller balls of fingering
weightyarn- 70 yards total. The average skein of sock yarn
will give you plenty of yarn to make the class project and
a pair of medium women socks.
· 36" (24-48" will also work) circular needles. US size
#1 (or #0 if you are a loose knitter and #1.5 if a tight
knitter). You can also use 2 24" or
longer circular needles if you prefer not to use magic
loop. Gauge is not particularly important for the class
project. Tapestry needle
