Skill level: Intermediate. Lots of pretty advanced stuff here, but you will not be alone. I'll help.
Fact. Yarn can be used to make cool looking clothes that will be the envy of every family member, friend, and petty tyrant. Like this swingy tee, which comes in a short and long sleeved version. Pick a cool color and get down with your bad self all summer long. You'll need a DK weight yarn for this sweater-Home Ec's Jojoland's Tonic is perfect, and Home Ec can order plenty for you. (See pattern for amounts, and go for a light blend, not wool.) Also, buttons, but we'll know the size we need towards the last class, so no need to purchase early. You'll also want the standard stuff-stitch markers, scissors, counter, tapestry needle, etc. Bring a size G or so crochet hook, and some extra scrap yarn. For the first class we'll be knitting the dreaded circular gauge swatch, so grab or borrow double pointed needles in sizes 5 to 7. We'll figure out what needles you'll need based on the swatch. (Ultimately you'll need three different sized 20" or 24"circs and two different sized DPNs.
