Skill level: Beginner-ish. Prefer you have some experience with knit and kind of know how to purl.
Sure, spring is for grilling, for long walks with your perfect other, for getting the garden in. But don't put knitting on hold because knitting is awesome all year round. This sassy little shawl goes with any summer dress or outfit, and is the perfect introduction to lace without the whole intimidating "charts and holes and lifelines oh my!" situation. Bring a DK or worsted weight yarn in something appropriately summery (approx. 380 yards), a pen or pencil, and a size 8 needle 20" or 24". I LOVE Home Ec's new Rylie for this project. Don't fear the lace. It's your friend.
