Knitting: Lace Shawl

Knitting:  Lace Shawl
With Ann Rushton
Saturdays,  March 8, 15 and 22,  3 - 5
$40 + supplies

Pattern: Dane Shawl by Jane Tanner, available free on Ravelry

Skill level: Intermediate.  If you can knit, purl, and can handle a little bit of a challenge, you can take this class.

Ever see those lace shawls and think-I wish I could do that? Well, you can! Bring either 350 yards of fingering weight yarn and size 6 long circulars (over 24") for smaller shawl or 650 yards worsted weight yarn and long size 9 circulars for a larger one. Make certain it's wool or a least a wool blend, and choose a lighter color for your first shawl. (Ask your Home Ec folks for a recommendation.) Also, add several markers, a counter, and a darning needle to your knitting bag.  Recommended- post it notes or magnetic chart keeper for reading charts. Also, print out shawl pattern and chart before first class. Optional: After shawl is finished, waltz around town flipping shawl over shoulders and giving everyone your best super-model attitude.
