In the history of man, there may be no better invention than the hand-knitted sock. Except for maybe the printing press. And the wheel. But neither of those will keep your feet warm. So let's get knitting. Bring size 5 double-point needles, approximately 150-200 yards of worsted weight yarn, a counter, a locking stitch marker or safety pin, ruler or measuring tape, and a darning needle to weave in ends. We'll make socks for the average size adult, but we'll discuss making them for any size.
We'll also discuss how to fend off those "hey, can you make a pair of those for me" queries.
